Professional Summary:

I am a public health-oriented child and adolescent psychiatrist, broadly interested in connecting communities to care and support they are struggling to find. For much of the past decade, that has meant working with pediatricians and schools to help them address mild to moderate behavioral health issues at "the right time and the right place" to help community unmet needs for child mental health support.

I am also proud to serve as the Program Director for UB's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, where we've been able to train so many wonderful compassionate and talented child psychiatrists to care for emotionally struggling children and families in WNY and beyond. We are working to train excellent child psychiatrists that can engage and support children, families, and communities. I supervise fellows at the Children‘s Psychiatry Clinic and at Oishei Children‘s Hospital and teach extensively on clinical neurodevelopment, collaborative care, and family systems. I am fortunate to teach and mentor trainees across the developmental spectrum and get to collaborate with tremendous colleagues in multiple disciplines.

Since 2023, I have been working to launch the Learning Communities program and the CommunityConnect service learning program at the Jacobs School. These programs will help with building community within the medical school and with community-building with our neighbors throughout Buffalo and Western New York.
