DESCRIPTION OF INTERESTS

enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) and Shiga-toxigenic E. coli (STEC, aka EHEC). EPEC is an important causes of diarrhea among children in developing countries. STEC, such as O157:H7, is more common in developed countrie.
A more recent project is the inhibitory effects of zinc on EPEC and STEC.
