University Orthopaedic Services

The University at Buffalo Department of Orthopaedics is the largest orthopaedic practice in western New York. Our staff proudly maintains a tradition of excellence that dates from the first orthopaedic course offered at the University in 1886. The Department staffs three affiliated teaching hospitals in Buffalo – Buffalo General Hospital, The Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and the Erie County Medical Center. Additional divisions in the department are the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, University Sports Medicine and The Cartilage Restoration Center.
