UBMD Emergency Medicine physicians are dedicated to caring for the people of WNY when needed the most.

Michael Manka, Jr., MD takes us through what types of injuries are treated at a trauma center and what to expect while in the trauma team's care.

Dr. Manka is a UBMD Emergency Medicine physician and chief of emergency medicine at ECMC, as well as an associate professor at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.

UBMD Emergency Medicine physicians staff emergency and trauma centers at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Wyoming County Community Hospital, Veterans Affairs Medical Center of WNY, and  the region's only Level I Adult Trauma Centers at Erie County Medicine Center and Level I Children's Trauma Center at Oishei Children's Hospital.
