UBMD Neurology

Professional Summary:

I grew up in Dublin and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 1988. I trained for 4 years in internal medicine and then neuropathology before emigrating in 1992 to Boston. Following my neurology residency, I did a year each of fellowship at OHSU Portland and at Buffalo studying acute stroke and stroke trials.

For 18 years, I was a partner at Dent Neurological Institute primarily treating stroke dementia and dizziness.

In 2017, I came back to inpatient care at the University at Buffalo/GVI/BGMC. I am very proud to be a member of this astounding stroke team.

My focus has been acute stroke care and education. Since returning, it has been my honor to win the residents' teaching award.
