Originally from Germany, he has been calling the Buffalo area home since 1999. He graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and completed Residency in Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Behrens is the Emergency Medicine Lead Physician for the Buffalo Sabres Hockey Team of the NHL.
