Pathology

UBMD Pathology consists of pathologist-physicians who specialize in the practice of medicine through the use of laboratory tools.

Service We Provide

We provide diagnoses, prognoses and therapeutic advice to clinicians and patients through the laboratory evaluation of tissues, blood and body fluids.

Our services include:

  • interpretation of biopsies and pathology specimens
  • consultations on the ordering and/or the results of clinical laboratory lab tests
  • provision of transfusion services
  • therapeutic pheresis
  • fine needle aspiration biopsies
  • performance of  autopsies

Our consultative services:

Our consultative services span both neoplastic and non-neoplastic fields. Clinicians and patients can access professional specialty laboratory services in the following areas:

  • brain, nerve and muscle pathology
  • breast and gynecological pathology
  • gastrointestinal and liver pathology
  • hematopathology, coagulation and transfusion services
  • immunopathology
  • pediatric pathology
  • pulmonary and cardiovascular pathology
  • renal and urological pathology
